Another major concert has been canceled, Boise? Yep, third one in a month

Canceled? Another one?

Indeed. Let’s hope it’s not a trend, Boise.

A hip-hop show originally scheduled for March 25 at the Ford Idaho Center arena has been canceled, the Nampa venue confirmed Wednesday.

It already had been postponed. The show initially was pitched as a “Spring Break weekend” concert with Rick Ross, Joyner Lucas, Tee Grizzley, Kid Ink and Kirko Bangz. Tickets had started at $59 plus fees.

The tour couldn’t find a new date because of scheduling conflicts, according to Andrew Luther, general manager at the Ford Idaho Center.

Tickets automatically will be refunded. The credits usually show up within 72 hours, he said.

It’s the second Idaho Center concert canceled this month. Headbanging rock bands Godsmack and Staind recently axed their Aug. 18 co-headlining outdoor show at Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater.

And it’s the third major gig nixed in the Boise market in the past month. In late May, Rainbow Kitten Surprise pulled the plug on Boise for the second year in a row. The alternative-rock band had been scheduled to perform a sold-out show at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden on Sept. 19.
