Ashtin Earle Responds to PDA Photos with DJ John Summit That Sparked Dating Buzz: 'I'm Just Having Fun'

The duo appeared to soft launch their relationship over the July 4th weekend

Ashtin Earle has finally addressed all the chatter around her recent getaway in the Hamptons, which included PDA-packed hangouts with DJ John Summit.

On a July 11 episode of her sister Alix Earle's podcast, Hot Mess with Alix Earle, the influencer, 21, said she's "just having fun" after sparking dating buzz with the music producer, 29, during Fourth of July weekend.

At the time, TikToker Hannah Kosh was just one of the fans posting videos and photos showing Earle and Summit publicly cozying up to each other at multiple parties. A video shared by another user even captured the two locking lips as Summit performed a set onstage.

"This is just a new experience for me to be recorded every time I'm out," Ashtin said of how she feels about being filmed in public, agreeing with her famous sister that "it is a little creepy."

Earle went on to explain that she "doesn't realize" she's being filmed in the moment as it's not something she thinks about.

"I feel for you right now," sympathized Alix, who's relationship with NFL star Braxton Berrios has been in the public eye since 2023. But, she noted, "I don't feel bad though because you're having fun."

Earle and Summit have been dropping hints at their connection online, with her posting a TikTok video set to a soundbite from Summit’s appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, and him posting Earle on his Instagram Stories while they were at Michael Rubin's star-studded white party.

The “Where You Are” artist also alluded to the TikToker on Instagram, including a picture of him onstage with Earle at his side with her back facing towards the camera.

A rep for Summit did not return PEOPLE's request for comment. However, he seemed to indirectly address the rumors on X (formerly known as Twitter) on July 3. "Never going out in public again," he wrote.

Relationship or not, Earle and Summit have been busy with their respective careers.

He has already started touring and will continue to DJ shows in Ontario, New York City and Nevada until February 2025.

Back in June, Ashtin made her Miami Swim Week debut after walking the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit fashion show with Alix, the magazine’s first digital cover star, and their two younger sisters, Izabel and Penelope. But of course she’ll be keeping all of her followers — all 900K of them — updated on TikTok and Instagram with chic outfit photos and get-ready-with-me videos.
