The chaos between Lisa from St. Catharines, Ont., and Quartney, who was previously on The Bachelorette Season 17, reached a tipping point at the beginning of the episode.

Lisa and Cole Medders shared a second kiss, which got Quartney fuming.

“I do not like a girl who’s making out with multiple dudes," he said. "She’s not here for the right reasons.”

Lisa was upfront about the fact that she likes Quartney, but she also likes other people in paradise, and Quartney wasn't having it.

In expressing his concerns about Lisa to the other men on Bachelor in Paradise Canada, Quartney didn't get a lot of understanding from his fellow bachelors.

"Quartney's kind of being an a— and childish about the whole thing,” Connor Brennan, who also explored a connection with Lisa, said in the episode.

Samantha "Sam" Picco from St. John's also wasn't particularly pleased that her roommate Lisa was kissing Cole, but things were looking up for her when #BachelorNation’s Jake Ondrus arrived, and the two had an intimate photoshoot on a motorcycle together.

When that was over, Sam told Cole she kissed Jake, but said she was thinking about Cole "constantly." Cole responded by being honest about kissing Lisa, multiple times, which didn't go over well with Sam.

Joey gets honest about his hesitancy to open up to Céline

The episode ended with the first-ever Paradise Derby, where the singles saddled up in pairs to race for a special one-on-one date.

No one chose Connor as a partner, which upset The Bachelorette Season 17 alum.

"I just want to be wanted," he said.

The Derby winners were Joey from Redcliff, Alta., and Céline Paquette from Winnipeg. The couple had a romantic date under the stars, which included a private performance by Canadian singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw.

Joey opened up about being "hesitant" to come back to the show a second time.

"I don't open myself up very often, but I did want to come back here to give it another shot," Joey said to Céline, getting emotional while talking to her.

Céline expressed some concern that she's not entirely sure how long it's going to take for Joey to fully open up to her.

"Time is a huge factor here and I mean, if we can't get past that, I don't think we can leave paradise together. We'll see," she said.

'I have a lot of girls that are after me'

Things are still looking uncertain for quite a few singles on Bachelor in Paradise Canada, including Toronto's Matia Marcantuoni. Meagan Morris from Vancouver admitted to him that she wasn't certain about their connection, but she told Matia she feels a strong connection with Garrett. Matia didn't seem very concerned.

"I have a lot of girls that are after me, so if you don't value me, then I'm so sorry, that's your problem. Next," he said.

Matia and Maria Garcia-Sanchez then shared a kiss. Matia said he didn't feel a "spark," but didn't admit that to Maria, thinking that if he did his time in paradise would be cut short.

Next week on 'Bachelor in Paradise Canada'

This week's episode of Bachelor of Paradise Canada showed Nithisha Ketheeswaran spending much of her time with Edward Naranjo from The Bachelorette Season 18, but she revealed to Joey that Edward's a "no fly," and she has no intention of giving him a rose.

Nithisha isn't ready to completely leave Garrett from The Bachelorette Season 18 behind, but he's tried to move on from her since Nithisha's kiss with Edward. In this week's episode, Garrett told Nithisha that he has a "profound connection" with Meagan.

The teaser for next week's episode of Bachelor in Paradise Canada indicates that we can anticipate that Nithisha will be feeling some heat.

She's going to find herself in an "impossible situation," making moves that will "have the men scrambling and the women throwing serious shade."
