'Bachelor in Paradise Canada' recap: A kiss and a 'butt facial' leave Austin, Chelsea in jeopardy

For much of this season of Bachelor in Paradise Canada (Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv), Chelsea Vaughn and Austin Tinsley have been the most secure couple in paradise, but Vancouver's Josh Guvi threatens that connection with a kiss and a "butt facial."

Last week we saw Josh arrive in paradise and there was quickly an attraction with Chelsea. The pair went on a particularly spicy one-on-one "butt facial" date, where they massaged each other's behinds, and it ended with a kiss.

"In certain ways, anything that Austin's not, Josh is," Chelsea said in Monday's episode.

While Austin spent some time with Tessa Tookes from The Bachelor Season 26 while Chelsea was away, he was still incredibly upset about what happened between Chelsea and Josh.

"She's willing to break my heart for the man she just met two hours ago," Austin said.

The next day the pair talked again and Chelsea told Austin that the way Austin handled conflict was one "giant red flag." Austin did admit that he could have handled the situation better and the two rekindled their connection, with Austin letting it slip that he's falling in love with Chelsea.

"I'm not looking elsewhere," Chelsea said.

But Josh also still had his eyes on Maria Garcia-Sanchez, who he met last season. The two shared a kiss the day after Josh's date with Chelsea.

Nithisha Ketheeswaran also swooped in to try to establish a connection with Josh, making the first move with a kiss.

Lisa Mancini pulls away from Cole Medders

For a situation that's always been messy, the love triangle between Cole Medders, Samantha "Sam" Picco and Lisa Mancini might be over. Lisa and Cole agreed to take some time away from each other, even though there is still an attraction there.

"I don't think that Cole looks at Sam the way he looks at me," Lisa said.

That results in Sam and Cole spending some time in the "boom boom room," which pushed Lisa even farther away from Cole.

A rose ceremony with a new connection

The episode ended with a rose ceremony that resulted in a few surprises, particularly a newfound connection between Matia Marcantuoni from Toronto and Céline Paquette from Winnipeg, after Céline was hurt in last week's episode when Joey Kirchner kissed multiple other singles.
