The Bachelor Trailer: Joey’s Search for Love Includes Flying Sausages, Catfights and a Shocker of an Ending
Uh-oh… is Joey’s search for love on The Bachelor doomed before it even starts?
After getting dumped by Charity on The Bachelorette, the Hawaiian tennis pro will be the one handing out the roses when The Bachelor returns for a new season Monday, Jan. 22 at 8/7c on ABC. In a new sneak peek that debuted during Thursday’s Bachelor in Paradise finale, we see Joey making plenty of love connections as he trots around the globe with his ladies, locking lips on beaches, in hot tubs and on the site of ancient ruins. There’s also a group date that has Joey dressed up like a gladiator and the women trying to catch airborne sausages in their mouth, which — well, is par for the course on The Bachelor, really.

Several women pledge their love to Joey along the way, and naturally, that leads to tension: Two ladies butt heads in an argument, with one telling the other to “grow up, bitch.” But the biggest drama comes from Joey himself, who is still wounded from his spurned proposal to Charity. “I’m afraid of someone not accepting me for me,” he admits — and sure enough, Jesse tells us to expect “an unprecedented shocking first in Bachelor history” as Joey stands alone at the final rose ceremony, wiping away tears. “I didn’t expect that at all,” he says as he walks off the set. Will we not get a happy ending this time?
