Baie D'Urfé restaurant Linguini goes up in flames

Montreal police are investigating a fire that broke out overnight at Linguini Restaurant, a popular spot in Baie D'Urfé.

Emergency crews were called to the West Island landmark, along Highway 40, at around 2:15 a.m.

Several dozen firefighters helped put out the fire at the two-storey building.

Nobody was injured but the restaurant was completely burnt out.

It was demolished on Sunday.

The arson squad has taken over the investigation.

"The cause of the fire is unknown," said Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant.
