Bake Off's Noel Fielding reacts to Alison Hammond replacing Matt Lucas
The Great British Bake Off star Noel Fielding has reacted to the news that Alison Hammond is replacing Matt Lucas as co-presenter.
Uploading a shot of Hammond onto Instagram today (March 17), Fielding praised the appointment, writing: "It gives me so much pleasure to welcome @alisonhammond55 into the tent. I'm absolutely pumped we are working together.
"We are gonna spend the whole time giggling like naughty school kids. The bakers are gonna love you to bits."

Fielding's words were echoed in the comments section, as Bake Off fans voiced their excitement for the This Morning regular to enter the Big White Tent.
"This partnership is going to be a classic! Cannot bloody wait," said one fan, while another posted: "YASSS the dream duo of chaos."
Meanwhile, 2018 finalist Ruby Bhogal also weighed in on the announcement, writing: "Wish I could go back and do it all over again now with you two! The best pairing."
In the original announcement video, Hammond said she was excited to be joining the show.
"I'm just absolutely thrilled I'm going to be meeting the bakers very soon," she said. "I'm joining The Great British Bake Off. I'm so very excited."

Kieran Smith of Love Productions paid tribute to Hammond's skills in a statement too, saying: "Alison has already proved herself to be a natural on Bake Off. Maybe not as a baker, but as someone who brings an infectious warmth and humour into the tent and we can't wait for this year's bakers to meet her and Noel.
"Welcome to The Great British Bake Off."
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
