Barefoot Is Releasing a Line of Wine-Based Hard Seltzer to Get You Ready for Summer

If 2019 felt like the year of the hard seltzer, it’s probably because brands like Bud Light and Natural Light released its own versions of the boozy sip. Now one of your favorite inexpensive wine brands diving into the market with Barefoot Hard Seltzer.

The wine-based hard seltzer is made with three main ingredients: Barefoot Wine, seltzer water, and natural flavor. You’ll have your choice of Pineapple & Passion Fruit, Cherry & Cranberry, Peach & Nectarine, and Strawberry & Guava. Each 8.4-ounce can consists of just 70 calories, 2 grams of sugar, and 4% ABV. The drinks are gluten-free, as well.

Beginning in February 2020, the Barefoot Hard Seltzer will start popping up on shelves nationwide in single cans ($1.99), four-packs of each flavor ($7.99), and variety 12-packs ($19.99). In 2018, Barefoot released a line of wine-based spritzers, so they’re definitely keeping the canned drinks coming!

“At Barefoot, we are passionate about creating products that meet the various lifestyles and tastes of our diverse consumer base,” Anna Bell, vice president of marketing at Barefoot, said in a press release. “With Barefoot Hard Seltzer, we wanted to create a delicious and light-bodied, wine-based hard seltzer that can be enjoyed at home, on the go, or with family and friends.”

Although it’s only January, we can already tell that this will be our go-to beverage on those hot summer days when our days consist of lounging on the beach and not much else.
