New bill would protect people who use ATMs

A Maryland congressman is introducing legislation designed to protect consumers who regularly use ATMs. For many people, ATMs are a convenience. For others, they are a lifeline that makes financial transactions possible. Right now, you do not enjoy the same protections as you would if the machine was located on a bank property. U.S. Rep. Glenn Ivey, D-District 4, called the bipartisan bill "common sense."
