Billie Eilish, Ramy Youssef and More Stars Wearing Artists4Ceasefire Pins on Oscars 2024 Red Carpet, Explained
Many stars from all corners of Hollywood are showing their support for a ceasefire in Gaza on Sunday at this year’s Oscars red carpet in Los Angeles by wearing pins provided by Artists4Ceasefire.
Artists4Ceasefire is a collective of actors, musicians and filmmakers that have come together in response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Israel and Palestine. The group supports an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the release of all of the hostages and for the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.

More than 380 actors, filmmakers and musicians have signed onto a letter urging President Biden and global leaders to call for a permanent ceasefire, the safe return of all the hostages and immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Among the notable list of Artists4Ceasefire signatories include Jennifer Lopez, Quinta Brunson, Jessica Chastain and Cate Blanchett.
Film and television stars including Ebon Moss-Bachrach from “The Bear,” Tony Shalhoub from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Arian Moayed from “Succession,” Khalid Abdallah and Salim Daw from “The Crown” and Emma Seligman, director of “Bottoms,” wore their Artists4Ceasefire pins at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Independent Spirit Awards, respectively.

Additionally, musicians such as Annie Lennox and Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker of BoyGenius all amplified the ceasefire message with their pins at the Grammys. Lennox also called for a ceasefire from the stage during her performance of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which honored the late singer, songwriter and activist, Sinéad O’Connor.
The 96th Academy Awards is the most highly anticipated awards show of the year. Jimmy Kimmel returns to host the Oscars for the fourth time. All five Best Original Song nominees will perform live during the ceremony, including renditions of “I’m Just Ken” featuring Ryan Gosling, “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish, Becky G’s performance of “The Fire Inside,” “It Never Went Away” by Jon Batiste, and a performance of “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” by Scott George featuring the Osage Singers.
