Olivia Newton-John Slips Into Black Leather Pants 36 Years After 'Grease'

Back in 1978, Olivia Newton-John’s black leather pants in the carnival scene at the end of "Grease" put her on the map. Now, 36 year later, she's proving she's still got it!

The 65-year-old Aussie slipped into a similar pair of slacks on Wednesday in Las Vegas as she rode around in the same Ford Mercury Cadillac from the famous drag-racing scene and marked the beginning of her 45-show residency at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. She was even presented with a key to the Las Vegas Strip.

And while she looked hotter than ever, these pants aren’t the same ones she sported in the hit musical. Back in 2012 she told Fox News that she keeps the original pair in the closet and she plans to auction them off one day for her cancer and wellness center.

The blond beauty also revealed that while they may have looked fabulous on film, they were anything but practical. "They were made in the '50s and we made the movie in the late '70s so they were already 25 years old when I wore them and the zipper broke so they had to sew me into them,” she explained. So what did she do when she had to use the washroom? "That was a challenge," she joked. "We took breaks and they had to unsew me."

Check out the video to see Olivia showing off the original pants on Oprah's show in 2011 and be sure to tune into "The Insider" on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
