Drunk driver crashes into police car, hands bottle of beer to officer who pulls him over

If you’re too drunk to tell the difference between your driver's license and a beer, then you’re too intoxicated to be operating a motor vehicle.

Damon Tobias Exum, of Atlanta, Georgia, crashed into a police car while driving through an Atlanta suburb on Saturday around 2:15 a.m.

Exum, apparently did not even notice that he had collided with the officer’s patrol car.

Officer Alvin Rodriguez, who was hit by Exum, was not injured, and decided to chase Exum down, in order to stop his vehicle.

When Rodriguez finally pulled Exum over and asked for his license, Exum instead handed the officer a beer.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Police spokesperson Sgt. Fidel Espinoza said that Exum “was heavily intoxicated and totally unaware that he had collided with the officer’s patrol car.”

If you’re so drunk that you didn’t notice the other vehicle you just collided with, then yes, my friend, give those beers to anyone you can. You don’t need them.

Exum wasn’t only slapped with a DUI charge, he was also given seven misdemeanor charges including reckless driving. This was Exum’s third DUI arrest.

He remains at the DeKalb County jail on a $3,270 bond.
