Freeskier JP Auclair pulls stunts while skiing through towns

The snow has just started falling in some parts of the country and some ski hills have already opened, but if you can't make it to a resort and still want to let the boards run, a Canadian freestyle skier has the solution.

JP Auclair took his tricks to the streets of Trail, Rossland and Nelson B.C. to show off his urban skiing ability.

The video is part of a movie by Sherpas Cinema called All.I.Can.

The movie has won Best Feature-Length Mountain Film at the 2011 Banff Moutain Film Festival and Best Documentary at the 2011 IF3 Film Festival Montreal.

Auclair is a founding team owner-rider of Armada and was at the centre of the sport's modern shift in the 1990s.

However, Auclair is far from the first person to rip it up through a town. Here is a link to a 1991 video of snowboarder Craig Kelly doing something similar. Kelly, known as the 'Godfather of Freeriding', was killed in an avalanche in 2003.
