Looks like it’s never too young to run into trouble with the law. And now a Halifax boy’s hilarious reaction to getting his first parking ticket is getting plenty of attention online.

The photo showing the toddler upset over getting pulled over by the police officer was posted on the Halifax Regional Police Twitter account on Sunday. Const. Shawn Currie is seen in the photo writing a blank ticket for Declan Tramley, 3, who parked his red plastic motorcycle illegally near the city’s ferry terminal.

The 3-year-old is seen sitting on his bike, holding one hand on his forehead in disappointment, while Currie kneels down and writes the fake parking ticket.

“It’s nice to show the different sides of police,” Currie told CTV News. “We’re not always making arrests and hauling people away…we like to have fun.”

Earlier in the day, Tramley’s dad conspired with Currie to give the little boy a ticket as a joke, reports ABC News.

According to CTV News, once Tramley’s dad snapped the perfect-picture moment, he sent it to the Halifax Regional Police; they also posted the photo on their Facebook page. From there the reaction to the photo has been overwhelming. It has amused more than 10,000 strangers on Facebook. And on Twitter the photo has been re-tweeted over 1,200 times.

“Remember, you cannot park your motorcycle in the circle by the ferry terminal,” said the photo’s caption. “We caught this ruthless biker there yesterday.”

It’s definitely been a fun experience for the toddler.

“He loves his ticket (now),” Tramley’s mother, Lisa told CTV News. “He tried to go to bed with his ticket.”
