History Channel’s depiction of Satan has an uncanny resemblance to Obama
An actor look-alike of U.S. President Barack Obama is stirring up social media after appearing in the History Channel's series The Bible — playing the part of Satan.
Conservative political pundit Glenn Beck suggested on Twitter that the actor playing Satan in the series, Mohamen Mehdi Ouazaanni, looks like the president.
Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on HIstory Channel looks exactly like That Guy? twitter.com/glennbeck/stat…

Others also saw a similarity, but reactions varied from laughter to shock, depending on political stripe.

Did you catch #TheBible last night? Obama made an appearance. twitter.com/forewit/status… — Chris Forewit (@forewit) March 18, 2013
Before long, media outlets had picked up the story, raising questions about whether or not the casting of a Devil resembling Obama was intentional. Ouazaanni's picture is notably absent from the History Channel's photo gallery for The Bible. The station appears to have removed the image from the website.
Plenty of viewers have already seen it, however, as the show drew 13.1 million viewers for its first episode alone, according to reports.
The incident has reminded viewers of when HBO mounted a fake head resembling George W. Bush onto a stick, unintentionally evoking the image of decapitating the former president.
