Justin Trudeau makes GQ magazine’s list of ‘Most Stylish Men Alive‘

First Vogue, now GQ and Time.

Canada’s Prime Minister is sure making the rounds as his face is yet again plastered across two more American magazines, this time on the glossy pages of the men’s lifestyle bible and the long-running current events magazine.

On Wednesday, Time magazine named Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in their 100 Most Influential People, a yearly edition recognizing leaders, artists, icons and pioneers who have made a difference or contribution to the world.

“In many ways Canada is no longer the country I grew up in,” wrote author and SNL creator Lorne Michaels, “but when I hear Justin Trudeau talk, it sounds like my Canada again. Bold, clear as a bell and progressive.”

Michaels goes on to compare politics to show business and says Trudeau is doing all the right things and has “talent, discipline and luck.”

“I believe he will be a force for good,” wrote Michaels.

Unlike Time magazine however, GQ isn’t celebrating Trudeau’s political accomplishments — no, it’s honour Justin Trudeau’s style as he has been named “the most stylish politician alive right now.”

“Justin Trudeau has come a long way from being just a snowboarding John Mayer doppelganger,” the publication wrote on their website.

The author, Matt Sebra, goes on to call Canada’s leader a “Disney prince”, even saying Trudeau has reached “ a level of Internet-boyfriend status usually reserved for the Benedict Cumberbatches of the world.”

“The prime minister makes an effort to look his best whether he’s in black tie at the White House or bringing his impressive sock game to a hometown talk show,” Sebra wrote. “And that’s why we though Trudea could handle his own GQ cover.”

Inside GQ’s pages, the 43-year-old is praised even further for his “mane of hair that would make Jon Snow jealous.”

“This Canuck is proving that leading well and dressing well aren’t mutually exclusive,” the magazine says.

However, Sebra breaks the news that Trudeau’s cover won’t actually be seen on newsstands. The reason? Too many stylish Canadians are taking over.

“With Toronto hometown hero Drake and Ryan Reynolds, a.k.a. the pride of Vancouver, taking up so much prime printed real estate already, having a third Canuck cover would have ma-a-a-aybe been overkill.”

Back in December, Trudeau also appeared in Vogue magazine with is wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau and was dubbed the “new young face of Canadian politics.”
