Late night host’s comedy sketch urges Brits to help build a wall so Canada can keep Americans out

Channel 4′s ‘The Last Leg’ has some growing concerns about the border we share with America, since the U.S. presidential election is in full gear and a Donald Trump-led nation is becoming more of a possibility.

On Friday, host Adam Hills harped on about Americans and their migration to Canada if Trump is elected in a satirical take on Trump’s own proposal to build a wall between the American and Mexican border.

“If I was Canada I’d be worried, ‘cause at every chance they’re gonna face an influx of American refugees and they are harder to look after than any other refugees because they need way more food.” Hills said.

“Plus, Americans don’t speak basic English, they carry more guns, and they refuse to assimilate with other cultures.”

Hills’ proposed solution to this hypothetical problem is to build a wall across the Canada-U.S. border that would safely protect us Canucks from any Americans trying to take advantage of our great beer and health care.

The show created a website for this ‘brickstarter,’ where anyone can go to add a brick to the on-going total. Of course, the site is adorned with a picture of Trump and a moose. With every click, the moose wail – or it may be Trump – lets out a hearty wail.

The original total was a mere 53 bricks added in support. But at the time of this article’s writing, the number has rose to over 14.2 million and counting. That means the campaign is well on its way to the 1.5 billion required to build such a wall.
