Man snags huge alligator while fishing with daughter

We’ve all seen viral videos where people accidentally catch huge sharks on the end of their lines. But alligators? That’s practically unheard-of.

Lance Burgos did just that while out on a little fishing trip with his daughter recently.

While cruising around in search of fish, Burgos noticed something pulling at a pool noodle set up in the waters of Fausse Pointe State Park in Louisiana.

In a video he uploaded to YouTube this past weekend, he can be seen approaching the noodle with 11-year-old daughter Evan seated behind him.

As Burgos slowly pulls the line from under the water, you see him tell Evan to be careful when she puts her arm out to help pull the line.

“Oh, my God!” Burgos yells when he notices the snout of a large gator poke its way above water. He immediately drops the line and pedals with all might to get away.

“That’s a big-ass-gator, buddy!”

You can hear Evan cry in the background as Dad is peddling away, asking to be with her mommy. She points out to the other boat that’s with them, saying the gator was larger than it.

The two got away unharmed, though in the clip, you can see they’re still amped up about what happened.
