NYC woman sneakily snaps half-marathon hotties in her ‘selfies’

There are a few perks that come with running a half-marathon, like the health benefits for your body and the possible fundraising for the cause of your choice.

And let’s not forget the oh-so-in-shape hotties running alongside you, covered in sweat. The whole running thing doesn’t seem so bad when you’re surrounded by some serious eye candy, right?

Kelly Roberts, who participated in New York City's recent half-marathon, seemed to think so.

Roberts decided to post pictures of herself to the photo sharing site Instagram during the 13.1-mile race with a different hot guy that she spotted every mile.

While running, she positioned herself so that she would catch the unsuspecting hottie in the background of her pictures. Then, she uploaded the photos to her Instagram.

The expressions on her face as she snaps photos of herself (and her unsuspecting male eye-candy candidates) are priceless.

Apparently, Roberts got the idea when she spotted a very attractive man just before the race began. Obviously well versed in social media, she coined the hashtag #hotguysofthenychalf and ran with it - literally.

She continued to spot some real cuties throughout the race, resulting in this hilarious collection of photos.

She even caught a few for those with more mature tastes, including this older gentleman in “short shorts”.

Roberts told the Daily News in an email that she didn’t really train for the race because of the crazy winter this year. But she found that taking photos of the unaware cuties made her laugh, and this was the best distraction from the cold and exhaustion.

“The gentleman in the short shorts is definitely a favourite though because it was 30 degrees,” said Roberts. “And who doesn’t love a man in short shorts!”
