Swedish man changes name to have 63 first names

A Swedish man's recent name change may make him the man with the longest first name in the world.

Filling out legal forms is never fun. And when you have a long name, squeezing in each letter can be a real skill.

This 25-year-old Swedish man must really love a challenge.

After six name changes in the last seven years, his current legal name now includes 63 first names:

This name must be a nightmare to write out: Kim-Jong Sexy Glorious Beast Divine Dick Father Lovely Iron Man Even Unique Poh Un Winn Charlie Ghora Khaos Mehan Hansa Kimmy Humbero Uno Master Over Dance Shake Bouti Bepop Rocksteady Shredder Kung Ulf Road House Gilgamesh Flap Guy Theo Arse Hole Im Yoda Funky Boy Slam Duck Chuck Jorma Jukka Pekka Ryan Super Air Ooy Rusell Salvador Alfons Molgan Akta Papa Long Nameh Ek.

The man, who was born Alexander Ek, goes by Papa Long Nameh for short, the Local reported.

In Sweden, a person is granted one free-of-charge name change in their lifetime. After that, each change costs 1,000 kronor ($158 CAD), a cost that didn't interfere with Ek's many moniker-alterations.

The Swedish Tax Agency does not limit how many names an individual can have.

Among his previous names is Usama-Bin Ek — "My parents were a little confused the first time a letter came addressed to Usama-Bin Ek instead of Alexander," he told Nyheter24 — and Klaus-Heidi Bratwursten, a name change that he hoped would help win him a year of living rent-free in Berlin (it didn't.)

Ek's newest name holds the record for the country's longest name — and maybe the world's longest, too.

The longest name listed in the Guinness World Records is currently just 26 names long: Adolph Blaine Charles David Earl Frederick Gerald Hubert Irvin John Kenneth Lloyd Martin Nero Oliver Paul Quincy Randolph Sherman Thomas Uncas Victor William Xerxes Yancy Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff, Senior, who lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That man has since shortened his name to Mr. Wolfe + 585, Senior.

In 2011, World Record Academy listed an Edinburgh man as Mr. Wolfe + 585, Senior's successor:

Barnaby Marmaduke Aloysius Benjy Cobweb Dartagnan Egbert Felix Gaspar Humbert Ignatius Jayden Kasper Leroy Maximilian Neddy Obiajulu Pepin Quilliam Rosencrantz Sexton Teddy Upwood Vivatma Wayland Xylon Yardley Zachary Usansky.

"Everybody ignores my new name. They insist on calling me Nick, which isn't one of my names any more," Usansky said.

Other long names worth mentioning:

One woman's surname was too long for her Hawaiian ID: Janice "Lokelani" Keihanaikukauakahihulihe'ekahaunaele has a 36-character last name. (She acquired it through marriage.) Her complaint led to a policy change. Hawaii licenses now have room for 40 characters in "first and last names and 35 characters for middle names."

What's the longest name you've ever encountered?
