Watch the moment a runaway tire smashes right into your windshield

There are few things more horrifying than an object speeding right at you on a busy highway.

That's what Andrew Sukhdeo faced when a runaway tire appeared in front of him on Toronto's Highway 401 near Salem Road.

The tire, which had come loose from another vehicle, bounced over the median and sped towards his 2014 Toyota Corolla. Before he could blink, the tire smashed into his windshield.

"Everything was happening so quickly that there was not time to react or think," Sukhdeo told CTV News. "I just kind of ducked."

The incident was captured on Sukhdeo's dashboard camera. He later uploaded it to YouTube.

Sukhdeo was not injured in the incident, but he said the tire hit the top of his windshield, smashing the sunroof and bending part of the car frame.
