YouTube user makes video to prove his light bulb is broken

This multi-color LED is the brightest we've seen, but the smart features have some catching up to do.

Getting through to customer service is never an easy task and most often you end up disappointed and having resolving very little.

When LED light bulb company, LIFX, asked Eran Galili to send a video proving that the bulb he wanted to return was broken, little did they expect to be provided with a short film.

Galili, in his YouTube description, writes: “My LIFX bulb stopped working, and as part of customer support, LIFX suggested that I send a video that confirms the issue.’”

In the video, Galili is seen testing out three different light bulbs described as ‘The Good,’ (a working LIFX bulb) ‘The Ugly,’ (a random working bulb) and ‘The Bad’ (the broken LIFX bulb). He connects each light bulb into a lamp.

Predictably, the first two work normally while the broken LIFX bulb produces no light at all.

The video is enhanced with a western soundtrack, using a track from Italian composer Ennio Morricone. The film also has credits that roll at the end that lists the lamp as ‘itself.’

Thus far, the video has racked up over 800,000 views on YouTube. In an update, Galili says the company has kept their word and a new light bulb, free of charge, is on its way.
