A Florida man is determined to be the first in line for Black Friday sales, 33 days in advance – while simultaneously raising awareness for homelessness.

This past Sunday, Kevin Sutton pitched his tent outside the Best Buy at the Florida Mall, more than a month before Black Friday. (That’s the day after American Thanksgiving known for its jaw-dropping sales, similar to of Canada’s Boxing Day.)

While Sutton intends to elbow his way to sales on a new TV, he also wants to raise awareness for the 13,000 homeless children living in Central Florida. He’s accepting donations, gifts, toys and money, which will all be given to a local charity.

Sutton, who’s a local radio personality, pulled a similar awareness campaign last year, when he camped outside of the store 15 days in advance.

This time around, he’s living only on food and water that’s donated to him and has use to the store’s washroom during business hours.
