Hillary Clinton’s favourite show is Canada’s ‘Love It Or List It’

Should Hillary Clinton choose to run for President when Barack Obama completes his second term in 2016, it could really open some doors for Canadian television.

Clinton, Forbes's No. 2 most powerful woman in the world, recently revealed to The New York Times that her favourite show is the Canadian home renovation series "Love It Or List It," which sees couples forced to decide whether to live in their newly-renovated house or upgrade to a better one.

"I find it very calming," Clinton, 65, told the Times.

The Toronto-based reality series ( with a Vancouver spinoff starring former "Bachelorette" Jillian Harris" slated for 2013) currently airs on the W Network in Canada, HGTV in the States, and Oprah Winfrey's network OWN in both countries. Each episode of the Gemini-nominated show features stiff competition from worthy opponents, and it usually all comes down to money, emotions, and good old debates — it's not totally unlike the campaign trail. No wonder Clinton likes it!

Maybe the next time Clinton's job takes her north of the border, she can make a special pit stop in Toronto to check out the crew for herself. It just might inspire a new career path if she ends up deciding not to run for office in the next U.S. election.

"Maybe I'll get a decorating show," Clinton admitted to the Times, when asked what her next move was.

We're sure "Love It Or List It" would welcome the competition.
