Edward Furlong sentenced to six months in jail for probation violations

In perhaps one of the oddest '90s culture collisions ever, Abby Morgan from "Dawson's Creek" and John Connor from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" dated for about four years.

We made the connection after news broke this week that Edward Furlong (who played John in the hit 1991 movie) was sentenced to 180 days in jail for violating two different probations involving Monica Keena (who played Abby on "Dawson's Creek" from 1998 to 1999).

According to TMZ, one of the probations arose from two arrests -- one which alleged Furlong used force against Keena, and the other from a protective order that banned him from contacting his ex. Furlong was sentenced on Monday in Los Angeles.

The two actors reportedly met on the set of 2009's "Night of the Demons," a straight-to-video remake of the 1988 original. The updated film reportedly filmed in October 2008 in New Orleans, with Furlong playing Keena's ex.

In January, Furlong was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly shoving Keena. According to E!News, L.A. cops got a call about a "boyfriend/girlfriend" disturbance, suggesting the 33-year-old actress had been in a four-year relationship with Furlong.

The actor has now been arrested three times in connection with Keena. In October, he was cuffed for allegedly grabbing her arm at LAX, and one month later he was arrested again after being accused of "inflicting corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition" on Keena the day before Thanksgiving, TMZ reports.

Keena isn't the only actress who has been in court battles with the former child star. In December, Furlong's ex-wife, Rachael Kneeland, who starred in 2002's "The Ring" and met Furlong in 2006 on the set of "Jimmy and Judy," got a judge to order that Furlong be allowed to make only supervised visits to his 6-year-old son, Ethan.

Back in 2010, the actor was handed three years of probation for violating a civil protective order Kneeland had taken out on him. The 28-year-old actress filed for divorce in 2009 and won a restraining order against Furlong after claiming he physically assaulted her and "left messages saying he would hire people to come and beat me with chains and bats."
