Blood-stained clothes found in search for missing Australian TV presenter and boyfriend
Blood-stained clothes have been discovered in the hunt for a television presenter and his boyfriend in Sydney.
Former Network 10 presenter Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, have not been seen for several days and Australian police have said they have “grave concerns” about the couple.
A worker found the bloody items in a bin, around 17 miles from Mr Baird's home in the Paddington area on Wednesday. Credit cards and a phone were also among the belongings.
Afterwards, officers entered Mr Baird’s home on Wednesday, when they also found blood and moved furniture and “immediately established a crime scene”.
In an update released on Thursday, New South Wales Police said they are looking to speak to a man who once dated Mr Baird.
Local media has reported he is a police officer but his name has not been revealed.
The force said: “Police are currently looking at a line of inquiry that a third person may be able to assist with the investigation.
“Police are currently trying to locate him. Detectives will continue to look at all past relationships and associations.”
Mr Davies “has not been seen since Monday, his family have been unable to contact him and he has not been at work”.
CCTV captured the couple outside Mr Baird’s home on that day but neither of them have been seen since.
Eastern Suburbs Commander Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore said: “We do believe there has been some sort of incident that likely occurred at the Paddington address (on Monday morning),” Superintendent Radmore said.
“Witnesses described it as a verbal argument. It wasn’t reported to police at the time.
“Their final movements are still under investigation.”
Ms Radmore added that police could not yet confirm whether any of the men have been met with foul play.
