Beyoncé was not the only member of the Carter-Knowles family collecting nods at the BET Awards 2024; Blue Ivy Carter was also honored during the night, and, of course, Tina Knowles went into full proud grandma mode to celebrate her win.
Though she skipped the ceremony, Blue Ivy won the YoungStars Award at the BET Awards 2024, which were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, on June 30, 2024. To celebrate the award, Parkwood Entertainment took to Instagram. “Congratulations to Blue Ivy Carter on winning the 2024 BET YoungStars Award!” the company posted in all-caps white letters against a black background.
Within hours of the post going live, Tina Knowles — a.k.a. the most supportive grandma ever — was already camping in the comment section, leaving praises for Blue Ivy. “Congratulations to Blue Blue, our little superstar in the making," she wrote alongside a slew of heart and fire emojis.

Courtesy of InstagramTina continued the praises in a post of her own, where she echoed the sentiments of her original comment, writing: “I marvel at your talent, your beauty, your intelligence, but I am most proud of your kindness and down-to-earth attitude. Never attention seeking, just cool and chill as a cucumber all the time.”
“Yesterday you played the piano for just me like someone who has been taking lessons for years. But you are self-taught. One day, I hope you will let me post it and brag like other grandmas get to do. But for now, you made me swear not to share,” she continued, showering her granddaughter with ever more praises. “Congratulations, BIC, you deserve everything you work hard to get.”
Blue Ivy Carter was nominated alongside Akira Akbar, Demi Singleton, Heiress Diana Harris, Jabria McCullum, Jalyn Hall, Leah Jeffries, and Van Van for the YoungStars Award at the 2024 BET Awards. The award marks the second time Blue Ivy has been honored by BET; she previously made BET history after receiving the BET HER Award in 2020, with which she became the youngest recipient of any BET Award.

Aside from Blue Ivy's win, the Carter-Knowles family also took home the Viewer’s Choice Award for Beyoncé's “Texas Hold ‘Em.” It was Beyoncé's only win for the night despite having five nominations in total. Other winners included Victoria Monét, Tyla, Usher, and Angel Reese, among others.
