'I have a bobcat in my car': Watch officials rescue animal stuck behind a car's grille

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Video shows the moment when officials in Wisconsin saved a bobcat stuck behind the grille of car on Tuesday night, using a pole to remove the animal and put it in the back of a vehicle.

"I have a bobcat in my car," a caller reported to the Portage County Sheriff's Office  dispatch, Sheriff Mike Lukas wrote in a Facebook post.

When deputies arrived, they found the bobcat behind the grille of the car in Portage County and asked for assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

"As you can imagine the shock they were in when low and behold there was a bobcat in the vehicle," Lukas wrote.

Body cam footage shows the rescue, as officials use a catch pole to grab the bobcat, while another official pulls on the grille so there is enough room to remove the bobcat.

The feisty feline, likely very scared, panicked after being rescued before officials were able to get the big cat into the back of a pickup truck.
