Body found near train tracks in Cochrane

19-year-old dies after car crash over long weekend

Police are hoping the public might have information after the body of a man was found near the train tracks in Cochrane, Alta., on Monday morning.

Cochrane RCMP were called to the tracks under the overpass at Highway 22 near Highway 1A at about 8:15 a.m., police said in a release.

"Upon police arrival, the male was confirmed deceased," Mounties said in the release.

"The name of the deceased will not be released. The investigation into this sudden death is continuing and is in the very initial stages."
