The Boys Season 4 Trailer: Wrathful Supes, Gen V Cameos… and Homelander on Ice? Oh My! — Watch

If you thought The Boys supes were violent before, you’re in for a bloody shocking Season 4.

With the country in disarray, “you’ll no longer be beloved celebrities. You will be wrathful gods. Show me a little wrath,” Homelander tells his fellow supes — and boy do they answer his call! — in the above newly released trailer, which was unveiled on Friday at CCXP México.

Meanwhile, Butcher is determined to do one thing right with his numbered days and pleads with the Boys team to help him.

“I have found the answer to all our prayers: a virus that kills supes,” he announces, referencing a storyline that first began on the spinoff Gen V last year. (If you don’t blink, you’ll even spot a couple of Gen V characters hanging out at Vought.)

At the same time, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s undisclosed character attempts to recruit Butcher in the war against the supes: “The whole world is about to burn. We need someone like you, Billy, before the supes start rounding us up and dumping us off in camps,” he says.

Elsewhere in the trailer, things get real weird when the Boys are attacked by… a chicken… and flying sheep? “I can’t believe this is f–king happening to me again,” Frenchie declares after shooting at the chicken. (Kimiko’s reaction is priceless.)

And never one to shy away from a parody, the series appears to be setting the stage for its own version of Marvel’s Rogers: The Musical, with Homelander on ice!

Premiering Thursday, June 13, with its first three episodes, followed by one new installment weekly until the season finale on Thursday, July 18, Season 4 of the Prime Video hit finds the world “on the brink,” while “Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power,” reads the official synopsis. “Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

In addition to Morgan — who is the latest Supernatural alum to appear on the comic book series — the upcoming season will also welcome Rosemarie Dewitt (United States of Tara, Little Fires Everywhere) as Hughie Campbell’s mom; Susan Heyward (Orange Is the New Black) as supe Sister Sage; Valorie Curry (The Following) as supe Firecracker; Rob Benedict (Supernatural); and Elliot Knight (Life Sentence, Once Upon a Time). Meanwhile, Cameron Crovetti, who plays Homelander’s son Ryan, has been promoted to series regular.

Last December, the show released a teaser trailer at CCXP in Brazil, which you can view below. Press PLAY above for the full trailer, then hit the comments with your reactions!
