'Expats' Star Brian Tee Among Four Joining Prime Video's 'Reacher' For Season 3
Tee most recently starred opposite Nicole Kidman and Sarayu Blue in the Prime Video limited series Expats and is gearing up to begin production on Reacher‘s third season as a series regular. As Deadline revealed exclusively in October, the multi-hyphenate is producing the anthology limited series The Scapegoat.
“The career path is such an uphill journey of dreams and I’ve been fortunate enough to climb a few mountains. But no matter how far I may go, it’s always so special to be able to go back home and feel grounded in your own backyard,” Tee tells Deadline about his return to Chicago.
“The Chicago Med set is my home away from home… I’ve met the best and the dearest on this show and it fills my heart to be able to go back and see them all again. In this business, projects come and go, but it’s the relationships you make that continue. I’ve been extremely fortunate to have made some great ones at Wolf, NBC and of course, Chicago Med,” he added.
Tee spoke of his directing style, comparing it to coaching in that on Med, “I’m that retired player, so I have the ultimate home court advantage… I know the team, the equipment and the playbook. I’m just so blessed that they let me come back and coach a few games.”
Although there are currently no plans for Tee to return as Dr. Choi in the near future, he’s excited to reunite with his small-screen family while flexing his directing skills.
“It was my home for a long time. Guess, I’ve been away too long… they missed me!!.. Haha.. more like, I missed them. They try and try… but they still can’t get rid of me,” he teased.
