Britain's Got Talent sees Bruno Tonioli press his Golden Buzzer for the second time
Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli made a rookie mistake when he pressed his Golden Buzzer for the second time this series.
Blues singer Gamal John stunned both the judges and the audience, who were all on their feet with the crowd screaming for someone to press their Golden Buzzer.
Alesha Dixon mentioned that she wished she had a Golden Buzzer to press and Ant and Dec popped their heads out to the stage to tell everyone they didn't have one either, and the next minute Bruno pressed his.
Gamal's beautiful rendition of James Brown's 'It's A Man's Man's Man's World' was fully worthy of the Golden Buzzer but it quickly became apparent that something wasn't quite right.
First Simon could be seen with his hands on his face peering through his fingers and Amanda Holden told Bruno "You only get one!" before Bruno realised he'd made an error.
Then Ant and Dec realised the usual confetti that rains down upon the worthy recipients didn't appear for Gamal, because it had all been used up with the four actual Golden Buzzers. This made the hosts roll themselves up in the curtain in embarrassment hoping no one else noticed.
"We are about to get fired," Simon announced to Gamal. "Having said that, Bruno is a new judge and if you give something, you can't take it away. You know what, genuinely, I think all of us are thinking the same thing." And thanks to Bruno, Gamal is now through to the final!
Amanda chipped in that they'd have all pressed their Golden Buzzer for him if they had one to spare.
"That was a masterclass," Simon finished.
Britain's Got Talent airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
