Bruce Springsteen is aiming to return to the road by next spring after postponing the rest of his 2023 tour as he continues to undergo treatment for peptic ulcer disease.

Springsteen and the E Street band will launch the new trek March 19, 2024 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, with the first leg wrapping April 21 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. A second leg of shows will take place later that summer, starting Aug. 15 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh and ending Sept. 13 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore. (Springsteen’s rescheduled Canadian dates will be announced next week.)

All tickets for the postponed performances will be accepted at the rescheduled dates, though refunds are available for those that can’t make the new shows.

Springsteen revealed his peptic ulcer diagnosis in early September and initially postponed his shows just for that month at the the advice of his doctors. By the end of the month, however, the musician had decided to call off the rest of his shows for the year so he continued to focus on his treatment.

“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year,” Springsteen wrote at the time.

Even prior to the peptic ulcer postponements, Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 had been rocked by various medical-related issues. Not long after the tour kicked off in February, Covid-19 swept through the tour, causing bandmembeers like Steven Van Zandt and violinist/singer Doozie Tyrell to miss shows. Another bout of illnesses caused the band to postpone several shows in March.

Despite postponing the rest of his tour dates this year, Springsteen did treat fans to some new music. He teamed with the National’s Bryce Dessner for “Addicted to Romance,” which will play during the end credits for the upcoming film, She Came to Me.
