Bruno Mars confirms Superbowl performance alongside Coldplay, Beyoncé

Bruno Mars has officially confirmed he'll perform at Sunday night's Super Bowl halftime show alongside Coldplay and Beyoncé.

The Grammy award-winning artist posted a picture of himself on Instagram on Friday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., where the Super Bowl will take place Sunday.

"It ain't a party if Mr $how Up & $how out doesn't show up," he wrote, followed by the hashtags #Confirmed #SB50 and #Halftime.

Mars, known for songs such as Locked Out of Heaven, Nothin' On You and this year's Grammy-nominated Uptown Funk took centre stage at the 2014 Superbowl halftime show and wowed the audience, which consisted that year of more than 115 million viewers. The rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers joined the pop singer as his special guests.

Appearing to be on stage with a microphone, the singer-songwriter-producer-choreographer posted a second photo at the stadium on social media.

"Mars Has Landed #SB50" the caption said.

The Carolina Panthers are taking on the Denver Broncos at this year's Super Bowl.
