Céline Dion welcomed three children with her late husband, René Angélil.
Dion's eldest son, René-Charles Angélil, is 23 and attended the 2024 Grammys with her.
The singer also has 13-year-old fraternal twin boys named Nelson and Eddy.
Céline Dion is a five-time Grammy winner, a global icon, and a proud mother.
The "Power of Love" singer has three children with her late husband, René Angélil, who died of throat cancer in 2016.
"What makes me most proud is to be a mother," Dion told Extra in 2017. "I have three magnificent kids, and through them, I see my husband, and I have the strength today to keep dressing up."
Here's everything you need to know about Dion's three kids.
René-Charles Angélil, 23, is the eldest child
René-Charles was born in Florida on January 25, 2001, and named after his father. As the first-born child of a famous singer, he was automatically placed in the spotlight.
Dion recalled the media frenzy surrounding his birth during an appearance on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment in 2019.
"I'm delivering my first child, and I don't even have him in my arms yet," she recalled. "I look to the left, and there's a TV there, and the doctor is announcing, live on television, a beautiful, healthy boy, 7 pounds, 8 ounces. And I'm saying to myself, 'My baby is on television, and I didn't even hold him yet.' So I turned it off. I turned off the TV."
Dion has gushed about René-Charles in Instagram posts celebrating his birthday and in interviews.
After the death of his father in 2016, René-Charles, then a teenager, gave a touching speech at his funeral. A few months later, René-Charles surprised Dion by presenting her with the Icon Award at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Dion was immediately moved to tears and asked him to stay with her onstage while she gave a speech.
In a 2018 interview with the Montreal Gazette, René-Charles, who was then releasing rap and R&B music under the stage name Big Tip, said his mom was "very supportive" of his musical ventures. He also said he didn't want to piggyback off her fame because he "wanted to prove to myself that I'm able to do it."'
"At the end of the day, that's what matters to me the most: to make a name for myself," he said.
At the Grammys on Sunday, René-Charles escorted Dion onstage as she presented the award for album of the year to Taylor Swift. Dion and René-Charles also posed with Swift backstage.
Dion's fraternal twins, Nelson and Eddy, are 13 years old
Dion gave birth to Nelson and Eddy via C-section in Florida on October 23, 2010. Their names were inspired by former South African President Nelson Mandela and the French songwriter Eddy Marnay, who worked on several of Dion's albums. Dion gave Oprah Winfrey an inside look at her home life with her newborn twins a few months later.
"They have very different personalities, but both of them love to wake up first thing in the morning and go to their closet and decide what they will wear," she said of her twins in a 2013 interview with the Daily Mail.
All three of Dion's kids continue to be supportive of their mom on and off the stage.
Back in 2019, they joined her onstage during the final night of her Las Vegas residency. More recently, the family attended a hockey game together. The outing marked Dion's first major public appearance since sharing in 2022 that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome.
