Cal Poly to open new staff business park near the airport

The Cal Poly Corp. has purchased an office building near the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport, which will allow it to move staff off campus and free up more space for classrooms in the university core.

The Cal Poly Mustang Business Park will include workspaces, a video production studio, a two-story-tall green screen, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and a kitchen over 46,000 square feet of office space that also offers free parking, according to a news release from Cal Poly.

The property was acquired late last year, and the Cal Poly Corp. said it will be partnering with the architecture firm Gensler to “research the best use of the space.”

By early 2024, it hopes to complete a 14-week study on how best to use the space.

Built in 2013, the building is located 4800 Morabito Place and was previously home to Rosetta Marketing Group.
