Good morning Calgary! It's mostly cloudy and 8 C at 8 a.m. Here's what's happening in Calgary today.
Weather
We have another cloudy, grey day in store today here in the city of Calgary. We're expecting a cloudy high of 15 C with a 30 per cent chance of showers later in the afternoon. The wind will be out of the south at 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h.
For the weekend, we're expecting a high of 19 C tomorrow with a 60 per cent chance of showers — and perhaps a thunderstorm later in the afternoon. Looking ahead to Sunday, things should brighten up a bit with sunny skies and a high of 22 C.

Alberta's school boards are welcoming the news of more provincial money. Premier Rachel Notley has announced an additional $103 million dollars for new students in the provincial school system, reversing a decision made by the Prentice government to cut funding. School boards and teachers say they are "thrilled" with the decision.
Cooler weather is helping firefighters across north-central Alberta battle the province's stubborn wildfires. Of the 42 fires currently burning in the province, 10 are considered out of control.
