UPDATE DEC. 6: In a release issued Tuesday, Calgary police said the death is no longer deemed suspicious. As the death is non-criminal in nature, police said no more information would be released.

Calgary police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death in Lincoln Park in the city's southwest.

Officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Richard Court S.W. on Monday for reports of a deceased woman, police said in a release.

Homicide detectives and officials with the office of the chief medical examiner are investigating the woman's death as suspicious.

Police did not provide any more details.

If this is determined to be a homicide, it would be the 25th in Calgary this year.

An autopsy will be scheduled for later this week.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or to contact Crime Stoppers.
