SHIBANI GOKHALE: These were the top five biggest stories on Yahoo Canada this week, and some of them might surprise you.

A brutal nickname for Elon Musk went mega-viral and Yahoo readers were fascinated by it. Elon Musk was trolled on his own social media platform this week and called a space Karen by Twitter users. The name is a mash-up reference to Musk's ambition for his rocket company, SpaceX and the name Karen, a label usually used to describe a white woman showing privileged behavior.

It's all gone to shit! Qatar is experiencing buyer's remorse on its hosting of the World Cup due to the constant negative publicity, ex-BBC journalist Jon Sopel has claimed.

Qatar has been mired in controversy during this World Cup because of its stance on LGBTQ2+ rights, the poor treatment of migrant workers used to build the stadiums, corruption claims and the country's lack of any significant ties to football.

A heartbreaking discovery was made in the belly of a sperm whale in Canada this week. Inspections showed that the 45-foot whale died a slow, painful death caused by eating garbage. There was 330 pounds of fishing gear compacted into its stomach, the Marine Animal Response Society reported.

The society has asked people to be more mindful of garbage, plastic and other swimming or fishing gear near oceans.

Hilaria Baldwin says she felt shamed after welcoming her daughter through surrogacy and clapped back at trolls questioning her daughter's existence.

She said there's no difference between her daughter born via surrogacy and the six other children that she carried.
