The Games will take place from Aug. 7-15.

Canadians will be competing in 14 of the 15 Parapan Am Games sports: boccia, goalball, judo, para-archery, para-athletics, para-cycling, para-swimming, powerlifting, seven-a-side football, sitting volleyball, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.

Former national team para-swimmer Elisabeth Walker-Young will lead Canada as Chef de Mission. Stephanie Dixon, another former para-swimmer, was chosen as assistant Chef de Mission.

"It's an honour to lead our biggest Parapan Am team ever," said Walker-Young. "Our athletes are going into Toronto extremely well prepared and, backed by the home crowd, they are ready to produce great and memorable performances. We are committed to making the 2015 Parapan Ams a fantastic finale to the Toronto 2015 experience."

Swimmer Benoit Huot will once again be part of Canada's team.
