Carolina Hurricanes will play more games on national TV next season. Here’s when
With success in sports usually comes more exposure. Eventually.
There was a time when the Carolina Hurricanes hardly made a blip on the NHL’s national TV schedule. Making it into the Stanley Cup playoffs five straight seasons, winning the Metropolitan Division the past two years and reaching the Eastern Conference final last season has changed that.
For the second straight season, the Canes will have 11 games on national TV broadcasts in the 2023-24 season. Three games are scheduled on TNT and eight on ESPN+, Hulu. The schedule was released Wednesday by the NHL.
The Hurricanes open the season Oct. 11 against the Ottawa Senators.
