Charlottetown Islanders go for 10 playoff wins in a row Saturday

The Charlottetown Islanders blanked the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-0 Friday night in the opening game of the best-of-seven QMJHL semifinal series.

The Islanders scored two second-period power-play goals and added an empty net goal in the third period in front of more than 3,200 fans.

It was their ninth straight time in the playoffs.

Kameron Kielly, Alex Dostie and Dillon Boucher scored for the Islanders, while Mark Grametbauer made 37 saves for the shutout.

Game two of the series is Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Eastlink Centre before the series shifts to Quebec for games three and four next week.
