Inglis man, 73, dead after fatal head-on crash near Russell

RCMP in New Brunswick are investigating a head-on collision yesterday afternoon that killed two men, including one from Charlottetown.

Police say a dump truck and a sport utility vehicle collided on Highway 16 in Jolicure, near Port Elgin.

A 65-year-old man from Charlottetown was driving the dump truck. The driver of the SUV was a 45-year-old man from Dieppe.

Both men died at the scene.

They were the lone occupants of their vehicles.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation to determine the cause of the crash continues.
