The Chase's Bradley Walsh hosting new show alongside son Barney
The Chase host Bradley Walsh and his son Barney Walsh are set to host the BBC's upcoming reboot of Gladiators.
The iconic sports entertainment show, which hasn’t aired in the UK since 2000, is coming back with a fresh generation of Gladiators who will "compete against a brave set of contenders in the ultimate test of speed and strength."
In addition to a number of brand-new games, the contestants will also compete in classic Gladiator games such as Duel, Hang Tough and The Eliminator.

Bradley and Barney, who previously fronted ITV's travel show Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad together, will now co-host Gladiators - a show they hold near and dear to their hearts.
Bradley's wife Donna Walsh was head choreographer for the original Gladiators cheerleaders, while Bradley competed in a Celebrities vs Jockeys special in 1997.
Bradley said in a statement: "Wow! I can’t believe that I’ve been asked to be part of this iconic show. I used to sit backstage, or in the audience, every week watching my wife be part of this juggernaut and now I get to co-host a new version of GLADIATORS!!!
He added: "Saturday night family entertainment at its best...ARE YOU READY?!"

Meanwhile, Barney wrote: "Gladiators has been a massive part of our family and it’s an honour to be asked to co-host this iconic show.
"I’m so excited for everyone to see the spectacle, elite athletes and fantastic family entertainment that is GLADIATORS."
Gladiators UK previously aired on ITV between 1992 and 2000, while the original American version aired between 1989 and and 1996. It was then revived for two more seasons in 2008.
Gladiators hasn't got a release date yet, but it will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
