Chick-fil-A ‘very much’ wants more Boise locations. Like this proposed ‘full-service’ one
Does your mouth water over the thought of a Chick-fil-A closer to your neck of the woods?
You could be in luck.
The national fast-food behemoth, which operates multiple Treasure Valley locations, is gunning for another — at the Boise Spectrum.
And the chain would like even more.
The proposed new Chick-fil-A “full-service restaurant” would be at the southeast corner of South Entertainment Avenue and West Dorian Street, according to a permit application with the city of Boise. The site is two lots at the Spectrum — 1700 S. Entertainment Ave. and 7802 W. Spectrum Street — on 2.86 acres, it says. The restaurant would be about 4,850 square feet, according to the application, with 74 indoors seats and 24 more outdoors.
Typically in the restaurant world, “full-service” would indicate a waitstaff taking orders at tables. But that’s not necessarily the case. A publicist for the chicken sandwich purveyor said that in Chick-fil-A’s universe, “full service” normally refers to the chain’s standard restaurant model, “including dine-in, drive-thru and curbside service.”
Chick-Fil-A, Inc., did not directly address questions about the proposal. Instead, it provided this emailed statement: “We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service. We would very much like to have more restaurants in the Boise area, but we have no new locations to confirm at this time.”
