Chiefs fans make it clear they want running back La’Mical Perine to make final roster

Kansas City Chiefs running back La’Mical Perine (29) runs for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns during an NFL preseason football game on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, in Kansas City.

Running back La’Mical Perine is with his fourth team since entering the NFL in 2020, but many Chiefs fans hope he’ll be sticking around Kansas City.

Perine, who is thought to be one of the players on the roster bubble, had a strong showing Saturday in the Chiefs’ 33-32 victory over the Cleveland Browns in a preseason game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

In addition to rushing for 32 yards in four attempts, Perine caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

That touchdown reception was all Perine, who broke multiple tackles on his way to the end zone.

For many Chiefs fans, Perine has shown enough to make Kansas City’s roster, and they shared that sentiment on X (the artist formerly known as Twitter).

This is a bit of what Chiefs fans shared.

However ... there are others who believe Clyde Edwards-Helaire should keep his spot as the Chiefs’ No. 3 running back behind Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon.
