Chiefs’ Rashee Rice on where he got that Patrick Mahomes ‘DadBod’ T-shirt

When quarterback Patrick Mahomes set a time to work out with a pair of Chiefs receivers, one of them had a message for him.

“I’ve got something for you,” Rashee Rice told Mahomes.

Mahomes was surprised by what he saw when he arrived for the workout with Rice and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Rice was wearing a shirt with the viral photo of a bare-chested Mahomes. That picture went viral on social media with a “DadBod” hashtag.

“I don’t know where he got it from,” Mahomes said at last week’s 101 Awards. “But it just showed up out of nowhere and he said he had something for me. He told me that before he even came to work out. I didn’t know what that was gonna be. And of course it’s DadBod shirt.

“But I’m gonna keep working on it. I like having a dad body. I’m not gonna make it go all the way away, but I’ll get it a little bit better.”

Chiefs fans don’t care about that “DadBod,” because Mahomes continues to lift the team to new heights.

The picture of Mahomes was taken in the Chiefs locker room after they won the AFC Championship Game.

Rice said someone on the team had made the shirt for him days after the Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 in Baltimore.

“I think after that game on the shirt, the AFC Championship, I went into the locker room and the shirt was just sitting in front of my locker,” Rice said at last week’s 101 Awards.

“Everybody loves that shirt. DadBod Season.”

If Rice was gifted that shirt by an anonymous teammate, then there are likely other Chiefs players who have it.
