Need some Chipolte? KC restaurant renames itself after Travis Kelce’s misspelled tweet

Lately, Swifties have been digging up Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s old tweets, which feature quotable phrases like “#schmackin.”

Brands, it seems, are just as amused.

Monday, Chipotle changed the sign above a Kansas City store to “Chipolte” in honor of the football player’s misspelled tweet from April 2011, which reads:

“Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I’m off to check out my new apt!!”

The restaurant is near Arrowhead at 4151 Sterling Ave., Suite B, minutes away from GEHA Field At Arrowhead Stadium.

Chipotle changed the sign ahead of the Chiefs-Eagles game at Arrowhead Stadium Monday evening, according to Annie Gradinger, a spokeswoman for the company.

Gradinger said the sign would be up for a “limited time,” though she did not specify how long.

Chipotle’s — or is it “Chipolte’s?” — new sign also matches the company’s misspelled username on X, formerly Twitter, which was changed to make light of Kelce’s tweet.

Olive Garden had fun with Kelce’s old tweets, too. (Though he spelled the chain’s name correctly.)
