John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are both being creative!

On Saturday, May 4, the Grammy-winning singer, 45, performed at City Year's Spring Break Gala at The Gallagher Garden at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. And while Teigen, 38 and their kids weren't in attendance, they had their own fun at home, with Luna Simone, 8, and Miles Theodore, 5, building a toy house with their mom.

In a first post from the model and cookbook author's Instagram Stories, she panned across a room, showing pieces of a toy house, instructions and the partially built play home.

"Here we go again!" she wrote in the caption over the clip.

The next Instagram Stories video showed Luna and Miles both working away at getting the toy house built, with Luna screwing in a bolt as her brother pushed the wall of the house toward her to ensure it was a tight fit.

While the couple's daughter Esti Maxine, 15 months, and son Wren Alexander, 10 months, didn't appear in Teigen's videos, Luna appeared to have taken the role of site manager, as she was heard telling her brother "not too hard" as he pushed.

Another fun clip showed the Cravings cookbook author peeking in through the door of the house as her pup Petey poked his head through the window of the toy house.

In a later video, Teigen zoomed in on the now-built toy house from her vantage point on the couch, revealing that she wanted to show another shot of the home as she captioned the clip, "One more."

While Legend missed out on building the new toy with the family, he cut a dashing figure as he performed on stage at the fundraising event. Sporting a hot pink suit with silk lapels in the same color and a white shirt, Legend was all smiles as he sat at the piano during his performance.

The event was the 13th annual gala held to raise funds for the non-profit City Year Los Angeles. According to the organization's website, City Year "was founded in 1988 as a national service program to unite young adults from diverse backgrounds for a demanding year of full-time community service."

John Legend performs on stage at City Year Los Angeles' 13th Annual Spring Break Event held at The Gallagher Garden at SoFi Stadium on May 4, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

Though the sweet family wasn't all together on the evening of May 4, Legend and Teigen often post adorable family updates and celebrate their children's milestones on social media.

In April, the proud parents celebrated Luna's 8th birthday, with the "All of Me" singer sharing a series of photos of Luna on his Instagram.

Legend shared pictures of his daughter in her dance costumes and posing on their recent trip to Thailand, as well as snaps of the newly minted 8-year-old from throughout the year.

"Luna made us parents 8 years ago today and she’s truly the best daughter we could ask for," Legend sweetly wrote in his caption. "We love you to the moon and back, my brilliant girl!"

In the comments, Teigen joked that she "just read this to Esti," referring to the couple's baby daughter.

That same month, Teigen traveled with Legend and their four children to visit her mother Vilailuck "Pepper" Teigen over spring break. Pepper moved back to Thailand earlier this year to live in her childhood hometown, Korat.

“My family!,” Teigen's caption read at the time as she shared a snap of herself carrying daughter Esti while stepping into a tuk-tuk.
