Christina Applegate working on a memoir

Christina Applegate is to tell her life story in a new memoir.

The 52-year-old actress made the revelation during an episode of her podcast 'MeSsy' - which she co-hosts with 'The Sopranos' star Jamie-Lynn Sigler - which featured her 'Anchorman' co-star Will Ferrell. After making a reference to her actress mother Nancy Priddy, Christina teased fans by saying: "It's gonna be in the book".

When Will pushed her about the book news, Christina added: "I'm writing it right now".

Christina's autobiography is likely to detail her early days as a child star, her rise to fame in Hollywood and her heartbreaking battle with multiple sclerosis.

The news comes after Christina shared her bucket list of things she wants to do before she dies.

In a post on X - formerly known as Twitter - she wrote: "There are things I want to do with the days I have left in life. I want to work with Shirley MacLaine.

"And do shots with Cher! And yes my days are so big. Just saying."

Christina went public with her MS diagnosis in 2021 revealing she had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder while filming the final season of her Netflix show 'Dead To Me'.

She has since been very open about her struggle with the condition, recently revealing she tries to deal with it using humour.

During an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show', Christina explained: “My humour shield keeps me OK, but of course, down on the insides, you feel the things and I do it to kind of deflect and then also make people not be scared to be around me.

“You know, when people see me now as a disabled person, I want them to feel comfortable. That we can laugh about it."
